A few days ago, a new player joined NFS.onl and already uploaded some strong times on a few tracks. The player, named F1scher, shows clear potential to reach a high position in the leaderboard - if he manages to complete all Freerun tracks. Most impressive: he set a new overall record on the Sprint track Liberty Gardens, beating the previous best time by Skeich (0:55.24) with a 0:55.15 Sprint mode is less popular than Circuit, and most records are still far from optimized. But seeing a newcomer take the top spot this quickly is definitely a strong sign. If he keeps going like this, he might shake up the rankings soon.

There's a new feature on NFS.onl: If you've added your Twitch or YouTube channel via the "Update profile on NFS.onl" option in the NFS.onl software (under Options - Track Records), a small banner will now appear on the website whenever you're streaming live NFS Undeground. It's a simple but useful way for players and visitors to instantly see who's live while browsing the site. If you stream NFS Underground, make sure your profile is updated - it only takes a few seconds.

HD Speedometer and Tachometer for NFS Underground
A new version of NFSU-HD FONTS by Raze was released today. It replaces the original in-game fonts and HUD elements like the speedometer and tachometer with high-definition versions. I tested the older version of this mod myself and can honestly say it was excellent it improves the visuals without affecting gameplay. The game stays nearly untouched, it still feels like the original. But many HUD elements now look clean and sharp instead of blurry and pixelated. The original gauges don't scale properly with widescreen patches and look outdated on modern high-res monitors. This mod fixes that clearly. Definitely worth a try if you want a cleaner and more modern visual experience. Warning: Always be careful with mods. Back up your game before installing anything to avoid problems.
